This post is showing where I am so far on a 4 ft. tall Buffalo soldier sculpture made of foam and epoxy. I am using a hard foam coat on most of the non detailed parts and then epoxy clay (magic sculpt) on the detailed parts of the face.
I started by laminating some rigid foam.
Then I used my carving tools to carve out the form. 
Here, the foam coat is half finished…
