Sunburst -Ornamental Carving

A builder got in touch because he had an architectural element on an old building that needed to be replicated. They started by sending me a picture of the piece needing repair.

After getting an idea of what the project required, I told them we could do it. I started by designing the shape on our CNC software – V carve Pro.

Then, some pieces of Sapele wood were edge glued to create a large slab that would be used to cut out the shape.

Then the piece was hand carved

 

When completed, it was shipped to MA for the builder to install.
