Here is a 24" wide bear cub end table. Yellow pine base with wood preservative and a poplar top stained with walnut and finished with a satin spar varnish. This is heading out to a customer in Houston, TX. It's exciting to see the timber frame beams stacking up! www.customwoodcarvings.com Here are some shots from Bush Mill Day 2019. I spent the day making a series of tall mugs for the Sugar Maple Inn in town. The weather was perfect with steady traffic the whole day. We had cinnamon rolls, fresh apple cider and live craft demos - blacksmithing, pottery, shaving horse work, weaving, spinning, timber hewing, spoon making, cider milling... Thanks to all who came out! www.customwoodcarving.com Our town celebrates Bush Mill Day tomorrow. So, we made some custom, walnut, " Virginia" cutting boards to add to our fellowship's craft tent. Used the CNC router to cut the shapes and carve the text, then it was a lot of sanding, and finally oiling. We'll be doing live craft demos at the Bush Mill tomorrow if anyone wants to come!. Pottery, black smithing, wood turning, timber hewing, cider pressing, spinning and more!
