5′ Tall Concrete Whale Tail

A customer out of Cape Cod contacted me about creating a whale tail sculpture for his home. I drew up a sketch of a welded metal frame covered with wire mesh. A thin, weatherproof layer of concrete covered that, then a gloss sealer to top it all off.

Next, we mix, tint, and apply the sculptural concrete.

The tail has a 2′ stem on the bottom for installing the tail in the owner’s garden once it arrives onsite.
