10 ft. Grizzly, Cromwell, CT

This started out as a 10 ft. tall and 4.5′ wide red oak stump.

We agreed on this sketch for the design. The customer and his wife love to fish, so they wanted a fish in the bear’s mouth.

So now it’s saw time!

 

The customer wanted something else near the bear’s feet, so we put a wood chuck there because the customer had an memorable experience with his neighbor’s wood chucks.

The customer agreed to do the clean up and the staining on this carving.

Here’s a picture with all the oil on.

The customers did a great job cleaning up the base!
